Hunkpapa - 1990
On the group's third full-length album and their second for Sire,
Throwing Muses display a rare creative lull. Many of the songs are just not as powerful as their prior
material, but the album is not a total loss. The wild, desolate "Bea" and explosive "Mania" are two of
Hersh's finest songs, and Donelly's "Dragonhead" and "Angel" show her growing prowess as a
songwriter.
