The Real Ramona - 1991
The Real Ramona is the Muses finest pop moment. Hersh's
material is some of her most melodic and accessible, yet it retains her unflinching honesty and emotional
pull. "Counting Backwards," Ellen West," "Hook in Her Head" and "Red Shoes" are both catchy and
riveting works of songwriting. "Grafitti" and "Two-Step" are two of Hersh's most appealing pop snippets,
and Donelly contributes the best songs she's ever written, the gleeful and giddy "Not Too Soon" and
"Honeychain." simply put, The Real Ramona is a great starting point for new Muses fans.
